Kitchen plays an important role in your home, it’s the place you visit every morning. Here, you can cheer on yourself, embrace your creativity, and spend time with your loved ones. Your kitchen encounters many things every day. Over time, accidental spills, crumbs, and food tend to build up and make your kitchen look dingy.

It’s important to remove stubborn dirt and grime that builds up in your kitchen in the best possible way to create a welcoming kitchen for you and your guests.

Countertops can make or break your kitchen. It is important to wipe down your countertops from time to time. Spills tend to make themselves comfortable on your countertops, which can cause discoloration. Spills that dry up become harder to scrub or wipe off. Old stains may need to be soaked in water or other solutions prior to wiping. Stubborn stains may need to be scraped away. Secondly, your sink can greatly affect the way your countertops look.

Dirty sinks tend to get smelly and can even stop working properly if cleanliness is not maintained. It is important to cleanse your splash guard as food can get under it. Using a grease-cutting tool and small shrubs, such as a toothbrush, you can get into the flaps and scrub away all the grime and dirt. To maintain the look of a pristine, organized kitchen, it is important to maintain proper flow and arrangement of anything you put on your countertops. Try not to clutter your countertops with dishes, appliances, or food items.

Cabinets and drawers are the second most noticeable aspect of a kitchen. They can also tend to collect spills, dirt and even dust. Cabinets tend to store expired food items, and open boxes and containers that tend to go unnoticed. This can attract unwanted pests to your kitchen. Most people believe using disinfectant wipes to wipe cabinet surfaces will get the job done. However, the smell of dirty old cabinets is still there, and wipes can make cleaning stubborn stains and food spills a hassle. Vacuuming your cabinets can remove dust, crumbs, and possible pests, efficiently.

A spray bottle with a 50/50 ratio of vinegar and water can be sprayed on cabinet surfaces to remove stubborn grease and dirt, which is great for cleaning drawers that tend to hide under counters and collect grease and oil. Ideally, this method works best when the solution is left on surfaces for at least a minute before wiping it away. To keep your cabinets and drawers organized, you can invest in airtight containers to prevent food from spilling or emitting odors. Group like items together to make them easier to find and make use of your vertical cabinet space.

The appliances we use in the kitchen may be the most vulnerable to collecting grease, spills, and stubborn stains. Ovens and stovetops tend to be the main issue. They seem to hold on to spills and grease much faster. Hence, it is important to cleanse your oven as soon as possible.

About 30 minutes after use, mix a 50/50 ratio of vinegar and water, and spray the solution all over the inside of your oven and on your stovetops. Sprinkle some baking soda over the surfaces and let it sit for at least a minute. Then, taking a stainless steel scrub, scrub away at the surfaces to reveal a brand new-looking oven. This method can also be used for microwaves. Microwaves tend to get super dirty on the inside due to food splattering around while microwaving.

This can be prevented by utilizing a microwave plate cover. A microwave safe plate can also be placed over your food plate as an alternative to buying a microwave plate cover. To clean up microwave stains, mix equal parts of vinegar and water in a microwave-safe bowl, and add about 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Microwave this solution on high for about 5 minutes, or until the solution begins to boil. This will create dense steam that fights grime and stains. After letting your microwave cool, wipe away the steam with a sponge. Wipe away stains on the outside of your microwave with the same solution and your microwave should look good as new.

Refrigerators are an appliance that we use every day. It is constantly storing our food for weeks or even months. No doubt, with all that we put in our refrigerators, build-up of grime and odors from different foods will take over. Using a spray bottle filled with hot soapy water, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda.

Spray the solution all over the inside of your empty fridge, and be sure to wipe it between drawers and shelves. For stubborn stains, sprinkle some baking soda over it, and let it sit for about a minute.

To eliminate any lingering odors, mix a tablespoon of bleach with a gallon of water and spray it all over the inside of your refrigerator to sanitize it. Make sure to throw away any old expired food. Fridge bins can come in useful to reduce the clutter inside your fridge and keep all your food visible.

Kitchen floors are inevitably susceptible to stains, spills, and crumbs. Dirty, food-covered floors attract pests and accumulate grime between kitchen tiles. The first way to prevent dirty kitchen floors is to invest in a mop. Spray mops are convenient and easy to dispose of.

Mixing 2 parts baking soda with 1 part of white vinegar and 1 part of hot water can remove the tough grout that gets in between Kitchen floor tiles. Using a good-quality scrubbing brush with the solution should remove the grout quite easily. Maintain a polished and clean kitchen floor with frequent mopping.

Embracing a clean environment can have great impacts on your overall well being, and mental health. However, maintaining cleanliness can become quite demanding. Not everyone can find the time to mop kitchen floors and scrub countertops. Cleaning professionals can be consulted to achieve a spotless kitchen and home.
